Weldcoa’s history of innovation was extended into specialty gas filling when they teamed with AsteRisk to create Precision Specialty Gas Products (PSGP) in 2006. PSGP provides complete, turn-key specialty gas filling equipment and services to allow distributors to implement, upgrade, or add new specialty gas filling capabilities.

Weldcoa has now announced the formation of PSGP University. PSGP University, located in a newly designed 18,500 square foot facility in Aurora, IL, is a completely functioning, centralized specialty gas filling facility with analytical equipment for training and education.

PSGP University’s curriculum addresses the need for proper education and training by developing skill sets in specialty gas filling through both classroom and hands-on instruction. The programs focus on all aspects of specialty gas filling and testing. Graduates of the programs will be certified in mixing specialty gases, gas chromatography and process instrumentation. Basic and advanced seminars are available. Precision University is a joint venture between Weldcoa and AsteRisk. Tom Badstubner, AsteRisk President, is well known in the industry, as an expert in Specialty Gases, as well as the GAWDA FDA Tech Support resource.
